And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…Revelation 12:11

I am not a preacher, singer or musician. If my name were mentioned in a crowd, there are many who have never heard it. I wasn’t popular in school, nor did my grades exceed expectation. In my younger years I didn’t think like all of my peers, I had so many questions about life and everyone around me acted as though this life would never end. Not realizing, that one day these questions that I had and my differences from those around was for a purpose. In fact, when I was young I didn’t know why I was born into this world, if my final destination was death. I analyzed everyone and everything and still came up with nothing. I lived in fear trying to grasp some sort of purpose as to why I was on this planet called earth. Little did I know that there was one calling to me, throwing out a life line of hope, if only I knew how to reach for it? I would not find out until years later that God was the author of my life. I knew that there was a God, but didn’t realize that I could have a relationship with him. In these times in my life, I would sit in my room and write for hours. I was trying to figure out answers to these questions that were always rolling around inside my head. I started to write poems at the age of 7. I would write poems over the course of the next few years. This is how I communicated with God, I would write

The Space

There is no time to glance behind

Or look toward the road unwind

Call out to me in blackness heard,

To soar so high just like that bird

To run would take the hearty fall

When time seems closed behind the wall

Unheard unspoken beneath your soul

To what you gave your measured goal

Beware of things that truth behold

To care of thoughts of things untold

Where marked are words from a starry sky

And at the end is where you’ll lie

Where all meanings here unfold at night

Although again no end in sight

Hold high the strength of light that race

But dare to look beyond the space

By Michelle-lee Young

As the years went by, God answered my quest, gave me purpose and filled my life with love. I dared to go against the current of this world, looked beyond its surface. Thankful I found the “pearl of great price”. I have put my life in the great author’s hands. I have been delivered of many things that this world tries to bind with. I am free and have a beautiful story to tell. This story that I have could have ended another way if it was left in my own hands. I am so thankful for the gospel of Christ and the hope that I now have. When I write today, unlike when I was young, there is a fulfillment. The confusion I had and the fearful anxiety is gone. I still do have some questions. They are not questions of purpose, but rather a deeper relationship with almighty God. The questions are replaced by a longing to know this great God in whom I have placed my life and trust in.

The author and finisher of our faith

Our testimonies are hand written by God and can reach into another person’s life and give a ray of hope.

Just share it, tell it, speak it, sing it, draw it, write it, email it, text it, however you can… and let God do the rest…

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

The words we speak…

Written By Michelle-Lee Young

What are words? Words are used to bring meaning; they can be spoken, written or produced in song. They affect everything that we do and our words affect all of those around us. Once a word is spoken it cannot be unspoken, it has left our mouths and is now in the universe to be heard and then understood. By our words we can encourage, build, love and inspire. By our words we can discourage, tear down, hate and hurt. We see words everywhere we go, on signs directing us as we travel.

We see words that compel us and see words that are used to entice us. Powerful are the words that we hear and that we see. Language is a way of putting words together to help us relate to one another and understand one another. God used words to speak and create and then those same words became flesh and blood. God’s word will stand the test of time, and can be used as a plummet line for our lives. If it doesn’t line up with the one truth it is not truth. With our words we can lie, with our words we can deceive. The words we speak are in our control. We can speak life as did Ezekiel in the Bible, when he spoke the dry bones and they became alive.

Every word that is spoken is seed that we sow and will bear fruit just like a physical seed. Every tree is known of its fruit. The Bible says in Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit”. There are words that are spoken to us as children that we never forget-- and those words a lot of times will direct the steps we take as adults.

A song can touch a heart through its words because those words have meaning. We must guard the words that we speak each day. We don’t know how our words will touch another person’s life. We must control the things that we say to our children or we could say something that could affect them for years to come. The closer that we draw to God and His Word the more our words become like his. It is then when the words we speak are spoken in love just like he spoke his words to us.

His words have stood the test of time from generation to generation and will always stand and will always bring life. The Word of God speaks life into us, gives us hope and a purpose for living.

So very thankful for the Words He has spoken and left for me as a guide to live by. The words from the author and the finisher of my faith! Jesus.

For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. Isaiah 119: 89-90

May the Lord Bless you and keep you!

Have you ever considered why the storms of life are vital to life itself?

Within the characteristics of a tree and deep inside its intrinsic design, instinctively it knows without the storms of life it would die. God designed within each planted seed conquering power. That power put in its very make-up would sustain harsh winds, crashing rains, whirling tornadoes, gusts of snow and hail and yet they stand and endure. Season after season, yet there is something very different. There is new growth each season, maybe one new bud in which a leaf will come forth. In a fruit tree it may be one brand new fruit that it did not have before. Inside that one new fruit contains the seeds of even more growth.

I have heard that a tree grown in a green house would only survive for a short period of time in comparison to the outdoors. The tree would grow to a certain size and then fall over and die, if not planted in the great outdoors. The trees roots actually need the storms and the harsh conditions that life brings, to make their roots strong. We can learn much through the seasons of trees. We can apply trees seasons to our journey of life; our roots grow stronger through the storms and trials that we face. There are things in my life that I would never have understood or experienced if it were not for these storms. My faith has grown in some of the hardest trials of my life, and what I have learned is everlasting.

Storms are vital to the survival of the root system of a tree. The trials that we go through are vital to our survival and make us who we are; they draw out our creativity and purpose. Most of all they help us to provide fruit in our lives, making us more like our creator. Trials build character and humility, and cause us to draw near to our Lord and Savior. It is always beautiful after the storm, when we come through, bringing new growth. Remember that within our design, God has put in us the ability to sustain and stand just like the tree. The difference is that our roots grow stronger in Jesus and he is the anchor in our storms. Thank you Jesus for our Storms!!!!

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2

<![CDATA[His Hands]]>Wed, 20 Mar 2013 19:19:17 GMThttp://2treesand12fruits.com/1/post/2013/03/his-hands.htmlPicture
Just before our 4 and a half month old son Joshua went to the hospital for open heart surgery, God gave me a dream... "I was in a room in a hospital waiting to talk to the doctor; a nurse came in and examined my son on a hospital table. She listened to his heart and then left. A few minuets later, she came in with some operating utensils and a towel, in which she laid my son on. In the back ground I could hear a song faintly playing...On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand...all other ground is sinking sand... Once again she laid my son on the examining table and the doctor came in, and I couldn't understand what he was saying. I just kept looking at his hands; they were the biggest hands I had ever seen. He kept smiling and talking even though I did not understand.

When he left the nurse returned one more time and she was softly singing that same song that was faintly playing in the hall, and she kept singing louder and louder..."ON CHRIST THE SOLID ROCK I STAND, ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND, ALL OTHER GROUND IS SINKING SAND..." When I awoke, and asked the Lord what this dream meant, He told me because I was standing on the solid rock, (which is Him), whether it was nurses that were taking care of our son or the doctor operating on him, it would be through His hands. It would be His hands when I leave him, not knowing what the outcome will be. His hands will be guiding the doctors hands and His hands will be holding me.

This operation lasted 7 and half hours, Joshua was one of the first to go in and have surgery. As we (my husband and I) watched on a monitor we could see all the names as the operations were completed and the children going into recovery. Joshua was the last on the list. I kept hearing in my heart that scripture... the last shall be first...

Matthew 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

I know God chooses the things that we go through for a purpose and I know that Joshua is chosen for a special calling that only he can do. I know that His hands brought me through so many things in this life and I need to hold on to those hands everyday of my life, these are the hands that have set me free, these are the hands that have delivered me, these are the hands that healed me, and these are the hands that keep me. Thank You Jesus for your hands!

<![CDATA[Does Food Really Affect Our Health? What Does the Bible Say?]]>Mon, 11 Mar 2013 21:32:14 GMThttp://2treesand12fruits.com/1/post/2013/03/does-food-really-affect-our-health-what-does-the-bible-say.htmlPicture
In our human beginnings way back in the Garden of Eden, the very first sin that was ever recorded had to do with food. Interesting enough, a certain food (fruit) affected the entire human race right from its infancy and even brought separation from God. There are many chapters throughout the Bible written on what is good to eat and what is not good for us to eat. Why would God care so much about what goes into our bodies if it wasn't important?

I have heard testimony after testimony about people being healed simply by changing their eating habits. The book Two Trees and Twelve Fruits is in part a health book but also a recorded testimonial of a personal healing.

God knows what heals our bodies and knew from creation what the human body would need for nourishment. Certain foods energize us and bring us nourishment while other certain foods can bring diseases and kill us. If your not sure about this, think about what would happen if you ate a plant that was known to have a deadly poison in it. If by eating such a plant would affect our bodies in such a way to shut it down and eventually kill us. Wouldn't the same logic apply if we kept eating things that would slowly do the same things as a poisonous plant would?

Food, we need it everyday to live. Certain foods are good for the inside of the body as well as the outside. King Hezekiah almost died of a deadly boil, but after praying, God chose to use a certain fruit topically. After applying it to the boil it healed Hezekiah and he lived. It is possible that food (fruit) can carry with it the cure to disease? Mankind began in a garden of fruit trees and just maybe God is bring us back to that place, where we have access to innumerable health benefits that have been buried through time. The Bible says in Revelation, that the Tree of Life bears 12 manners of fruits and the leaves are for the healing of the nations!

(Rev 22:2) In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Review By William Ballard:

To be completely honest, what I found within the context of this manuscript was not what I was expecting. I have been friends with Michelle Lee Young for sometime now and I have heard about her miraculous healing testimony over many prepared meals together (some meals equipped with the recipe drinks mentioned within this book).

Michelle has been very generous to share with me her testimony and the miraculous power that God has done in her life and in her son "Joshy's" life. I have had the honor of being able to enjoy "Joshy's" smile and lively laugh, which would not be present without the wondering powerful hand of God, both in Michelle's life and in her son's life.

In this book you will find powerful, life changing, revelations, genuine facts, and healing fruits that will birth new health into the lives of anyone who reads these heartfelt words not only spiritually but physically as well.

This book will surely change your life and add value to your future!
